We are the official UMD chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP).

We encourage all UAM-UMD members to join AAUP.

Joining AAUP national supports the leading advocacy organization for higher education faculty in the U.S. Joining AAUP makes you a member of Local 6741 of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT). 

Plus, through AAUP’s dues-sharing program, a portion of the dues AAUP collects from our members will be returned to our chapter to finance expenses such as technology and printing costs!
