DESCRIPTION:We now have a collective bargaining bill and a hearing date for the House on Tuesday\, February 13 at 1:00 pm. We hope you can make it to Annapolis that day or for the Senate hearing later on. \nBut we have a different request for you today: We want to ask you to write testimony for our bill. \nThe process will be even easier this year. All you have to do is use this Google Form to input your testimony. We’ll format it\, add bill numbers\, and submit it on your behalf. You will find templates for your testimony and a link to last year’s testimony on the Google Form. If you submitted testimony last year\, it also is perfectly fine to submit the same testimony you did last year. Same exact text\, updated in any relevant places. \nPlease submit your testimony by midnight on February 8th! \nFollow this link to submit your written testimony.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Wednesday\, February 7\, at 11AM for a rally on Lawyer’s Mall in Annapolis.  \nMaryland’s AAUP chapters and the UMD Graduate Labor Union will be be asking our elected representative to pass a law that grants graduate assistants and faculty the right to form a union and bargain a contact with our employers. Come early or stick around to lobby your state delegates and senator. \nBuses will leave from the UMD campus at 9AM @ Lot 1 behind Tawes Hall. Buses are expected to return to campus by 1:30pm \nRSVP for the rally HERE!
